Tamil hit movie ‘Thani Oruvan’ is now going to be made in Bengali. Actor Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee are teaming up for its Bengali remake. The movie will go on the floor later this year or early next year. It is likely to be bankrolled by Shree Venkatesh Films. Who will direct the movie, is not yet decided.

In its original version, actor Jayam Ravi played the lead role and Arvind Swami was seen in the role of conniving antagonist. It was directed by Mohan Raja.

On the other side, its Telugu version is being made and titled as “Dhruva”, in which Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh are playing the lead role. Currently the movie is progressing at the brisk pace under the direction of Surender Reddy and it is set to hit the theaters on the occasion of Dussehra.
