The Raja Saab Box Office Collection – Complete Analysis
The Raja Saab Box Office Collections Day-1,2
The Raja Saab carried massive buzz even before its release. The biggest reason behind this hype was Prabhas coming immediately after the blockbuster success of Kalki 2898 AD.
After delivering a large-scale sci-fi spectacle, expectations on Prabhas’ next
film reached a peak. Fans expected another high-range film, while the
announcement of The Raja Saab as a comedy-horror entertainer created
both excitement and skepticism.
The film released in Telugu,
Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam, with a wide theatrical release across India
and overseas. In total, The Raja Saab released in around 5,500+ theatres worldwide. Telugu states alone accounted for nearly 1,600+ theatres, North India around 2,500+ theatres, Tamil Nadu and Kerala together about 700+ theatres, and Karnataka close to 500+ theatres. Overseas markets included the USA, UK, Australia, Gulf countries, and Europe.
There was heavy speculation about
the film’s budget before release. However, the makers officially clarified that the final budget is ₹400 crore,
including production and promotional expenses.
On release day, the main issues were
reported in Hyderabad, not overseas. Premieres and midnight bookings were opened suddenly, leading to server
overloads, show allocation confusion, and theatre coordination problems. In contrast, Andhra Pradesh premieres went smoothly. After release, a few theatres faced technical disturbances during screenings,
forcing shows to be replayed.

Day
2 Box Office Collections
On Day 2, collections witnessed a visible drop. Morning show occupancies declined, and family audiences were slow to turn up. India Net Day 2 Collection: ₹16-18 crore Compared to this,
Kalki 2898 AD recorded around ₹110 crore on Day 2 worldwide,
Salaar collected close to ₹90 crore,
and Baahubali 2 showed extraordinary momentum beyond its opening day.
The Raja Saab could not maintain similar traction.
Reasons
Behind the Drop After Day 1
The major factors affecting
collections after the first day were:
– Comedy-horror genre not appealing uniformly to all sections of the audience
– Mixed word of mouth, especially about second-half pacing
– Hyderabad premiere and release-day execution issues creating early negative
buzz
