People can never see me in de-glam roles : Esha Gupta

Esha Gupta: My look is such that people can never see me in de-glam roles and that’s fine because I don’t want to do de-glam.

Actress Esha Gupta, who is often seen in glamorous roles in films, says people can never expect her in de-glam roles because of her looks. “My look is such that people can never see me in de-glam roles and that’s fine because I don’t want to do de-glam.
“If I do de-glam roles I would do it for a film like CityLights. That’s one of the films that I loved watching,” said the actress when asked if she will ever don a de-glam look in her films. Esha, who is currently seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom, hails from a non-filmy background and she hopes her kids also turns out to be actors.
“I hope my kids becomes actors too but I would want them to remember the journey and the difficulty that I had and I am still facing it. I have come a long way though as a person I have a lot of patience…,” she said. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz.
Rustom is going strong at the box office, repeating the success story we have already seen with the actor’s Airlift and Housefull 3. Trade analysts are already predicting a Rs 100 crore box office collection for the court-room drama even though it has only been on BO for two days.
On day one after release, Rustom made Rs 14.11 crore at the box office, making it the fourth biggest opener of 2016. Day two, being a Saturday, the film witnessed 16.44% growth in its collections and earned Rs. 16.43 cr. thus taking the total box office collections to Rs. 30.54 cr. It is expected to ramp up its earnings on Sunday and while Monday is Independence Day holiday, the earnings will surely add to a massive 4-day total.
